Sensors measure discharge activity using LoRaWAN

HOLINGER is using battery-operated ultrasonic sensors with LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) transmission technology to calibrate a conceptual model in the municipality of Dürnten. Since June 2021, we have been collecting high-resolution information on the discharge activity of the drainage structures, which have not yet been equipped with instrumentation. The readings are transmitted to the data cloud where they can be inspected or downloaded at any time. This data will contribute to the development of evidence-based systems and solutions for urban drainage and shed light on problems.
